From Concept to Reality: Making of “Baker Bros - American Deli” custom sign

Today we are going to kickoff our new feature “From Concept To Reality” where I am going to talk about manufacturing process of different signs in our plant.

Baker Bros American Deli is a popular chain of deli franchise restaurants. Our client was hired by them to design and install custom sign. We started the work as soon as we received custom artwork from them below.

When sign was finished, it was supposed to look like this (not an actual image):

We built 2 separate aluminum cabinets (cans) for upper and bottom parts. We painted inside white and outside black, and installed neon tubes for lighting.

We tested neon:

We formed sign faces from X15 clear plastic, and our painters did 2nd surface painting on the sign.
